Just Passed Mid Quarter with 7/8th Grade Art
Hello 7/8th grade parents and guardians,
Hard to believe that we have just skipped passed mid quarter. The year is going by way too fast!
The art room has been a buzz with different projects. We finished our Object Self Portraits and moved into our Zentangle unit. Students learned about creating different lines and patterns in their artworks through the process. The artworks turned out incredibly well so look for those to come home soon!
After Zentangle, we jumped into our group project, Mandalas. Students learned about radial symmetry and created Mandala patterns with their group. They are now working on transferring their sketches to large paper, about 3'x3' large! This project is another cool one where students feel successful in their efforts.
If you are able to, definitely stop down during conferences to see the art room. I would be delighted to meet more parents!
